From years as an AV technician I saw the need for this over and over. You can't use the "B" key in ppt because if blanks the laptop screen too. A few projectors have a mute button, but often the range of the remote is iffy. Most
people walk over and put a pad of paper in front of the projector, but that looks ridiculous! Some get a $12,000 video switcher to do the same thing, and the rest show off photos of the family or their dog in the middle of an important meeting or corporate event. None of these are good options.
Since it's introduction, people have purchased for uses I never dreamed of such as church services, theatrical productions, and legal presentations to a jury. There are probably many more to be found. |
